What is the FAFSA?

FAFSA is an acronym that stands for: Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

The FAFSA application gives students an opportunity to receive financial help from the government such as grants, loans, and work-study jobs that can help pay for college or career school.

It is an application that must be filled out for all students who wish to participate in Federal student aid programs such as Stafford and Perkins loans, as well as Pell Grants.

Qualifying Students: U.S. citizens/permanent residents
